X-Snake/i uses solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors in a symmetrical configuration. In order to minimize distortion, the negative conductor is identical to the positive. There is also 100% shield coverage to ensure noise-free performance. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction - the greatest single source of cable distortion. The less complicated grain structure and fewer impurities within LGC copper significantly reduces distortion compared to normal high-purity copper. AudioQuest gold-plated Duracon-insulated plugs are soldered to X-Snake/i with specially formulated AQ Solder.
